The Trumbull Energy Center is a 950 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle power station which will consist of two Siemens Energy SGT6-8000H gas fired, high efficiency, combustion turbines with two heat recovery steam generators and a single steam turbine. The efficient Siemens Energy H-class gas turbines will enable the Trumbull Energy Center to produce electricity at a very low net heat rate.
This single fuel (natural gas), combined cycle power plant features duct firing, circulating water and auxiliary cooling water streams which reject heat into the atmosphere via a cooling tower. The project is anticipated to be one of the cleanest and most efficient CCGT pants withing the PJM market.
Full Notice to Proceed was received in December 2022. Substantial Completion is expected in early 2026.
