Location: Rockford, Illinois EPC Contractor: Gemma Power Systems Design Engineer: Doyen and Associates The Rockford Peaking Project consists of two simple cycle Siemens-Westinghouse V 84.3a combustion turbines. Gemma’s scope of work included complete plant design, site development, equipment installation, control building, electrical interconnection, start-up and commissioning. Construction began in late January 2000 and substantial completion was achieved in June 2000.
