Ethanol projects can be categorized as petro chemical facilities that use corn to produce ethanol that is used as a blend for gasoline. These facilities provide a renewable domestic fuel that is used to supplement gasoline and reduce dependence on foreign oil.

The Carleton Facility will have the capability of producing from corn over 100 MMGPY of fuel-grade anhydrous ethanol, and dry distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) as a co-product, using a dry mill process. The facility is currently under construction with an anticipated commercial operation date of June 2008.
Gemma’s scope includes the complete engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of the facility.
