Gemma Power Systems Raises $72,000 for ALS Association

Berwick, PA, October 24, 2017 – Gemma Power Systems, LLC sponsored and hosted a recent golf tournament at The Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mountain Top, PA benefitting the local chapter of the ALS Association. The charity tournament raised $72,108 in memory of Kevin Belles, a friend and contractor working on the Freedom Generating Project here.

“A hallmark of the project experience we deliver to our customers is supporting the local communities in which we work and live.  We would like to thank our customer, Caithness Energy and our many subcontractors and suppliers for joining us in this fundraiser,” said Daniel L. Martin, President of Gemma Power Systems.

Gemma Power Systems is the Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) contractor for the 1040 MW Caithness Moxie Freedom Generating Plant being constructed on Mingle Inn Road in Berwick.  Engineering, procurement and construction activities are in full operation using many local suppliers and skilled craft workers. More than 600 skilled craft workers are employed at the site.  The plant is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
